Why it is up to YOU and NOT Romney or Obama to fix these problems

I have spent a great deal of time reflecting on the current situation that our nation is facing. I have come to the conclusion that it is most certainly our fault that it has gotten this bad. We jump to conclusions, we rush to judgement, and people that are "responsible enough" to make time on election day to vote, are some of the most uninformed individuals that I have ever met. I recently had a  woman ask "what is Mitt Romney's first name?" Willard is his first name, but she thought that "Mitt Romney" was "that guy's last name". The guy sitting there had no idea what his name was either. They was certain of one thing though: "that man" was getting their vote. It is a shame that people literally base their vote on things that 99% of them cannot articulately or rationally explain. They get flustered and angry when you ask them to simply produce some factual evidence. We need to stop the fighting and meet on common ground. That common ground begins within each of us. When we all prioritize our minds we will be able to offer realistic solutions and work together. Imagine a sports team that is composed of people that hate each other. That's what we are. Balance and harmony can provide us the stability to withstand the coming forces. People must set aside differences and figure out that the problem is within each of us, as is the solution. We can all do something; what can YOU do?
