BALTIMORE (AP) - The Baltimore police commissioner has suspended some training academy staff after a campus police trainee was shot in the head by an instructor.

Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says authorities are continuing to investigate Tuesday's shooting, which occurred during a training exercise in Baltimore County. All training academy operations have also been suspended.
Guglielmi says the investigation is focusing on how the instructor came to discharge live ammunition, though one theory is that he picked up the wrong gun. He says police officials are also trying to figure out who authorized the training session because the location where the shooting occurred is not one of the normal sites used by the department.
The trainee, training for the University of Maryland, Baltimore campus police, remained in critical condition Wednesday.

NERF GUN LOCK-DOWN IN THE BRONX

NERF GUN LOCK-DOWN

WARNING: ASSAULT WEAPON BAN ON THE FOLLOWING:
Any child seen using this "assault toy" should notify DHS immediately and seek refuge in a fallout shelter. Do not engage these children as they might look harmless, but are heavily armed with imaginations and such..

Seriously this is out of hand. Stop being scared and start being rational.

5th Grader Can't Return To School Over A Paper Gun

Another child is being ostracized  over a situation blown out of proportion. It seems that there will have to be a ban on all imagination and thought within the minds of children. This is obviously the issue in the eyes of government and administrators alike. I feel terrible for this poor child and her family for going through such stress over absolutely nothing. It's a shame.

6 year old terrorists are the worst... "Finger-Gun" toting kids must be stopped (gimme a break!)

The word "Pow!" is apparently highly dangerous..Maybe even an "Assault Weapon"
*NOTE: THIS CHILD WAS QUESTIONED WITHOUT HIS PARENTS BEING PRESENT!!!*

Watch your fingers ladies and gentlemen - they are now assault weapons and are potentially going to be banned. Remove them immediately from all hands of children... Yes, this sounds outlandish and far fetched when I exaggerate it like that, but if this snow-ball keeps rolling then where exactly does it stop?

Kindergarden Girl Suspended For 'Terroristic Threat'

Again, another war to fight imaginary 'bad guys'... If our current government were a human being - a padded room and a really tight jacket would be the best environment. Are they crazy or are we? This "political correctness" has gone to new heights, so far that it needs renaming. Since when is being "Politically Correct" defined as: "anything so far from correct and reasonable that it's downright absurd"..?
According to Merriam-Webster the word "Politically Correct" is defined as:"conforming to a belief that language and practices which could offend political sensibilities (as in matters of sex or race) should be eliminate"
First off: If politics were even remotely "Correct" we would not face the a fraction of the detrimental consequences of their so-called "correct" actions over the course of the last hundred years (just as 1 example).
Secondly: "Conforming to a belief.." sounds exactly like what Nazi soldiers were doing in WWII... They were simply "conforming to a belief" weren't they? We know now that their motives and reasons were terrible acts against humanity, but if all of these soldiers knew then, what we know now - do you think they would have had a little trouble recruiting soldiers? I believe so. Just because it seems "correct" to you right now, does not mean future generations will cast your name with disgust and hatred, just as many do now when they even hear mention of Nazis or Hitler.
How in the world can we sit idle while losing our freedoms, families, and livelihoods to a government that is so far from being saved and has become quite 'mentally unfit' to be our parent anymore? Where is the line in the sand folks?

If this picture below scares you - I do not want you in charge of my life. Common sense puts the weak behind the  strong - not vice versa.  Get in the back sissy. [no offense - don't cry].

They have no problem selling your child the toy guns, taxing every cent they can, but God forbid if you ever speak a word of it or else they are labeled a terrorist.

The TSA Blog: TSA Week in Review: 15 Tubes of Black Powder Discovered at Denver

The TSA Blog: TSA Week in Review: 15 Tubes of Black Powder Discovered at Denver

TSA finds 30 guns in passenger luggage in a week's time. Three of the 30 were not loaded. At first you might think that the TSA is should be commended for finding these weapons. BUT, think about a few things:
  • How many guns go onto airplanes that are not found by TSA each week. If they found 30, we know their margin of error is not 0%, so how many do they miss?
  • If 30 firearms are found in one week by TSA, then how many would that be if they found 30 every week? Answer: 1,560. That's a lot of guns. Out of those 1,560 guns
  • 1,560 guns per year would be found at this rate. If people were carrying guns, solely with malicious intent, don't you think more people would be getting shot on planes or at the airport? I haven't heard many stories of ACTUAL violence occurring in airports. You would think that with all of these "dangerous weapons" that are being found, surely there are many more terrorists than we thought...Right?
  • It is lawful to carry a gun on a plane if first you consult the airline. The TSA even provides a link for those who want to check a firearm for travel. Coincidentally the link was not functional when I attempted to use it.
  • I haven't heard of ANY successful attacks recently that would warrant these 30 gun retrievals anything, but a waste of tax dollars. Show me the threat. I cannot see it. I will not accept that the TSA is stopping 100% of the threats before they occur. It's just not logical.
        The TSA can take
"Miscellaneous Prohibited Items - In addition to all of the other prohibited items we find weekly, our Officers also regularly find firearm components, realistic replica firearms, bb and pellet guns, Airsoft guns, brass knuckles, ammunition, batons, and a lot of sharp pointy things -- to mention a few…" Bob Burns, TSA Blog Team

"Sharp Pointy things" sounds very specific. Should a woman refrain from wearing earrings on a flight? I can understand objects with a sole purpose or a functionality that is intended to cause harm, but with all things considered, it is the people that are the danger, not the object. People are all capable of committing acts of violence. So should we just lock ourselves up before we commit any crimes?
